Gangtok, Pelling & Darjeeling

Day by day

1. DAY01

   Arrival at NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport & Drive to Gangtok (135 km - 5.30 Hours Drive Time)

   Read day 1 details

   Welcome at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station & drive to Gangtok (135km, approx 5.30hrs hill drive) crossing through beautiful Mahananda wild life sanctuary, from the foot hill point ’Sevoke’ you will feel the thrill of hilly drive in accompany of river Tista along with the road. While reach at ’’Rangpo’’ the entrance point of Sikkim state, take a tea break at Rangpo and proceed to Gangtok with enjoying the scenic view of steep cultivation and tiny village of Sikkim’s own identity. On arrival at Gangtok the capital of Sikkim check in at hotel, overnight relax at hotel.

2. DAY02

   Day Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir (75 Kms. / 3.5 Hrs. one-way)

   After breakfast around 8.30am start for day excursion trip to Tsomgo Lake (60 km hill drive) at an altitude of 12,400ft, the lake is almost 01km long and 15 meters depth. The lake is considered sacred by the local people, you can take photograph at the backdrop of lake also can enjoy a ride on the back of Yak, and can enjoy one of the most magnificent Ropeway Ride of India with 300mt Tall Ropeway which gives you the 360 Degree view of the mighty Himalayas. Next go for visit Baba Mandir (the shrine in memory of disappeared Indian army personal Baba Harbhajan Singh) at an altitude of 13,123ft and distance of 18 Km from the Lake and back to Gangtok. Evening free overnight at hotel. Note: • Documents for Tsomgo Lake & New Baba Mandir – 02 Passport Size Photo along with Photo Copy of Photo ID Proof (Passport or Driving License or Voter ID (Pan Card & Adhaar Card is not accepted). For Children below 18 years, Birth Certificate / School Id / College Id are must. Original needs to carry while travelling. • In case of Land slide or any other reason, if Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provide alternate sightseeing. To Visit Nathula Pass Portable Oxygen Cylinder with Mask is advised by the Govt. of Sikkim, The Guest has to bought their own from Stores on the way. 3. DAY03

   Half Day Gangtok Sightseeing & Pelling Transfer ( 132 km 5.5 Hours)

   Read day 3 details

   At morning after breakfast check-out from Gangtok and start your Half Day City Tour Covering Do-Dul Chorten (Buddha Stupa), Institute of Tibetology, Flower Exhibition (By Own Cost), Sikkim Handicrafts industry (Sunday closed), Ropeway Ride (Own Cost) then Subsequent proceed to Pelling (130km approx 5hrs hill drive) at an altitude of 7,200ft in West Sikkim, On arrival at Pelling check-in at hotel, rest of the time free for relax, Overnight stay at hotel.

4. DAY04

   Pelling Sightseeing

   Read day 4 details

   After breakfast start a full day sightseeing in Pelling with the oldest Monastery in Sikkim Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabedentse Ruins (Ruins of the ancient 2nd Capital of Sikkim Kingdom), Rimbi waterfall, and Kanchenjunga waterfall, Khecheopalri Lake (it is believed that birds do not permit even a single leaf to float on the lake). Also, can enjoy Skywalk, Chenrezig Statue (Entry by own Cost) & back to hotel. Evening relaxes at your own style, overnight at hotel.

5. DAY05

   Pelling to Darjeeling Transfer (82 kms /4.5 hrs)

   After breakfast transfer to Darjeeling at an altitude of 6,700ft (82km approx 4hrs 30min) via Legship, Jorthang, Singla, on arrival check-in at hotel, rest of time free for enjoy walking tour or pony ride or just see the color full lifestyle of local hill people’s in the mall area, Overnight at hotel.

6. DAY06

   Darjeeling Full Day Sightseeing with Tiger Hill

   Be ready early morning, at approx 4.00am you will be pick up for visit Tiger Hill (24km hill drive) at an altitude of 8500ft for spectacular view of color full sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga (Subject to weather condition), on way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmwaja Naidu Zoological Park (both are closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Ropeway view point (Ropeway ride on own cost) Tibetans Refuge handicraft Centre (closed on Sunday), Happy valley Tea Garden (outer view), Peace Pagoda & back to hotel.

7. DAY07

   Darjeeling to NJP Railway Station /Bagdogra Airport drop (105 kms / 3 hrs)

   Read day 7 details

   In Morning after breakfast Check –Out from Hotel & start your return journey via the pretty Hill Station Kurseong. Take a tea break at Kurseong and proceed through Hill cart road playing hide & seek along with very nostalgic Darjeeling Himalayan Railways.The narrow gauge (2ft width) “Toy train” track, passing over the station’s like Tung, Sonada and Ghoom and reach at one of the most magnificent hill resorts in the world, Drop at Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway station.
